Woodburn Programs

Dear Families, Volunteers, and Community Partners,

We want to share an important update regarding our Woodburn programming and do so with the care and thoughtfulness this community deserves.

After many conversations and careful consideration alongside our partners at the City of Woodburn, Boys & Girls Club of Salem, Marion and Polk Counties will be transitioning our Woodburn branch from a physical clubhouse model to a Community Impact Program. As part of this transition, our afterschool teen program will conclude at the end of the 2025–2026 school year, June 3rd being the last day of club hours.

The Woodburn Teen Center has been a place where young people built connections, found support, and experienced opportunities for growth. We are deeply grateful to the teens, families, volunteers, staff, and community partners who have helped make this program meaningful over the years.

This decision was not made lightly. Together with the City of Woodburn, we carefully evaluated how we can best serve local youth moving forward and ensure that resources are aligned with the areas of greatest impact and sustainability for the future.

While the physical teen center model is changing, our commitment to Woodburn youth remains strong. Through our Community Impact Program, we will continue investing in services that support young people in meaningful ways, including the continued growth of Teen Court.

We are thankful for our longstanding partnership with the City of Woodburn and for the shared dedication to supporting youth and families in this community. We remain optimistic about the future and committed to continuing our work in Woodburn in ways that are responsive, collaborative, and impactful.
